Okay: I realize that what I have created here constitutes" Mary Sue" fiction. Some people have a big problem with that! But this is my fantasy! And I have a big problem with those who would be arrogant enough to think they can restrict fantasies; mine or anybody else's! But I have been told that it constitutes proper netiquette to adequately warn folks that these stories fall within that genre. Some people will leave now, due to their prejudices against stories of this type. But I would hope that some of you at least will give these tales a chance!
That said; let's get on with things!
I have created a great big story line based on the premise I've described at right! It's just a very fancy outline, really, but bit by bit, idea by idea, I'm fleshing out stories derived from this outline. Not necessarily in "chronological order", though! I have worked on some short stories about a time when Wolf and I are already mates! And later I plan to go back thru time and write some stories about when Wolf was "A Lone Wolf", before he got to The Land of Enchantment and was still wandering. So I had started in the middle, really: I just love non-linear time! I will continue to work on some shorter stories of Wolf's life at different times, but right now my focus is on this episodic sort of "lunar journal", if you will, of my life with Wolf, which is called...
Las Lunas Encantadas
This story has turned out to be something quite different than what I thought it would be when I first started writing it and talking about it on these pages! I have changed the name and the changes take off from there! It has gone from being just an episodic chronicle of what happens on every Full Moon to being a chronicle of two lives lived out on another, very magical plane of existence, with time in this place being measured according to the phases of the Moon. It is still episodic, with each section defined by one lunar cycle, culminating on the Full Moon of that cycle. This story has taken hold of me and is writing itself, going in directions I never anticipated! I love it when my art and writing do this! The first episode is almost ready! And soooo....

Wolf Poetry

Look how distressed poor Wolf is! All dressed up and no place to go and no one to love him! No one to share a gondola ride or more fizzy stuff or a fireworks show with. I was so sad right along with Wolf here! How could this have happened to a character I love so much?
As I've already explained, I've been fascinated with the man/wolf spirit for most of my adult life, in love with this character, really! And this Wolf, Wolf of the 10th Kingdom, was the best manifestation of this spirit I had ever seen! He personifies that spirit for me now! So I began to freely admit that I wanted him for ME ME ME!!! And what could I do about that?...
I, as much as anybody else I know, respect the sanctity of mating, and of love. I would never steal Wolf away from Virginia! But since this is a fantasy anyway, I started thinking about alternative universes and timelines. I started thinking about what kind of life Wolf might have if he and Virginia never met. I started thinking what it would be like if, instead of getting into whatever trouble he got into and landing in prison (which began a chain of events that ultimately brought he and Virginia together), Wolf decided to go on a journey instead. After all, he does seem to be a Wandering Wolf! Maybe a journey seeking a place where he would be more welcome than in the Kingdoms. If you look carefully at the maps of the Kingdoms, you can see that they reside on what appears to be a great big peninsula. This invites the idea that this peninsula is attached to a much larger main continent. Which we know nothing about! So all sorts of incredible lands might be found there. Maybe Wolf would roam up into the Far West of this great continent, having all sorts of adventures along the way. And then one day he would wander into the mythical (told about only in myth!) Land of Enchantment. A place also known as the Dream-Time - where magic is real; where the animals, plants, and even the stones are equally alive and have voices. A rather Shangri-La-like place where all sorts of amazing events may occur and diverse folk live but nobody gets any older (more "happy ever after"!). A place where all one can expect is the unexpected. The place where everything that was and everything that can be comes together...A place where figures both great and obscure from culture and history can appear at any time and participate in events... Oh - and the best part? I live there too!
